We hear those stories all the time of how the kids finally say, "Thanks Mom, You're not so bad." as they are leaving for their mission or honeymoon. I can see why that hurt. My 4 yr old wanted me to write on my husbands valentine that he loved her primary teacher. I'm not her primary teacher, by the way. ;o) This is one of the hardest parts of them growing up....they have other wonderful people in their lives that they start to worship.
