Mommy Monday

Today's Mommy Monday tip isn't homemade. Sheesh, people, I'm not 100% crunchy. I use toilet paper, after all. Leaves just aren't my thang.

So lately one of our favorite Things To Do is play the "Cat in the Hat game."

People, this is sooooo much better than playing cars. (YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.)

There are a stack of cards numbered 1, 2 and 3. One has an action, another an object, another a place. So when you pick up all three you could get, "hop three times with the ball between your elbows."

It is impossible to fall asleep while playing.

And your kids will love it.
And that's what matters.

The Cat in the Hat owes you big time. :)

Games really are much better than playing cars. MUCH.

I will have to try this over the summer. I'm trying to gather lots of mommy tips when I get to be a stay-at-home mom for a couple of months.

Thanks for the recommedation! I'm always looking for things like this for the Grand~girls. They would love it. Action games are the best.

Fun! Seara is just getting old enough to get the whole 'games' thing so we'll have to try this one. Growing up my little brothers love Hullabaloo as well. If you don't have it, you need it too. :)

In answer to your question, yes I do actually check my lixo email. Most people don't know what that means. :) It's not my regular email, but it is the one I use on all internet things, so I check it about once a day. If you want my real email address you can have it (janaericks (at) gmail (dot) com), but I'm assuming you get your comments emailed to you, and if you do when click reply they'll go to omeulixo. Holy hannah I seem to blabber a lot!! All this is to say, YES you can reply to my comments there and I'll get em!

Sounds like a fun game that would have benefited us greatly in our long winter months shut up inside!
